Jerry was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bettendorf where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. Karen Mild, 81, of Knoxville passed away on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2018 at her home. Born in Knoxville on February 3, 1936 to the late Floyd and Gertrude (Bishop) Mild, Karen was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a retired school teacher and administrator. Karen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, reading and traveling. She was an avid Cardinals fan. In addition to her parents, Karen is survived by two sons, Tim (Karen) Mild of Knoxville and Mark (Nancy) Mild of Murfreesboro; two daughters-in-law, Debbie (Dave) Shaffer of Lincoln and Lisa (Scott) Coker of Murfreesboro; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois Pritchard of Knoxville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
